Where To Look For Budget Laptops - A Survey On Budget Laptops at Wishlost

A laptop is among the most essential items when you need to get back to school. Here is a list of laptops that are berserk with features while going easy on your purse.

The first among these is the Apple 13-inch Macbook that is rich both by means of its reasonable price and hearty features. Starting at $1,099, the 5-pound Apple Macbook sports a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor, 1GB of RAM, and standard 80GB storage capacity. Both the RAM and hard drive are upgradeable. It has the best software bundle in the industry that includes Apple’s iLife software and built-in webcam. This cute little notebook supports both OS X and Windows XP and Vista. It has a unique keyboard and stunning design. The only downside that I could find was that the Macbook had only two USB ports but you could easily use an adapter to multiply them.

Another exceptional choice is Dell’s Inspiron 1420 notebook which is the PC Magazine’s current Editors’ Choice for the best budget laptop. The Dell Inspiron 1420 boasts of discrete graphics at an excellent price. It has a better-than-average battery life and delivers a very good typing experience. Priced at $1,099 this feature-rich notebook boasts both quantity and quality. It has a standard-voltage processor, 120GB hard drive, 2GBs of RAM, a DVD burner, and discrete graphics for all those games you have craved for. Best of all, it comes in an array of color frames for those who like to personalize their own unique notebook all for an additional $29. The notebook checks in at 5.9 pounds with the nine-cell battery, which lasts three-and-a-half hours. If that sounds a bit too much, consider downgrading to a six-cell battery that reduces the total weight down to 5.4 pounds.

My third choice, the Fujitsu Lifebook A6030 has an awe-inspiring intensely bright 15.4-inch screen, 802.11n support, 80GB hard drive, unique, Wacom-enabled touchpad and five USB ports. The downside of this computer is its weak battery life. It lasted 1 hour 40 minutes while playing a DVD. Since most people carry their power cords with them nowadays, this may not be an issue.

The last one in my list is the HP Pavilion dv2500t, a mainstream media laptop that incorporates all the new technologies from Intel. There’s a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, it’s a light 5.3 pounds, and has a full-size keyboard. It also has a 5-in-1 card reader and backlit DVD playback buttons. This notebook also features the Intel Santa Rosa wireless chipset, which will boost sound and video, and Internet browsing will be lightning fast, if you’re running off an 802.11n wireless router. One of its drawbacks is that the notebook cover is prone to smudges and fingerprints.

A friend of mine was looking for laptops to choose from, after seeing her a bit disappointed I decided to come up with a list of laptops commoner can buy. This was the best list I can think of as of date. If any of you have want to share any other series, let me know, will do review about it soon :).
